What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct, Social Work position at Touro University?
Adjunct is responsible for instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, grading and assessment, and professional responsibilities as a member of the instructional team of the college or academic department.
• Teach a minimum of one graduate level courses • Prepare course materials such as syllabi homework assignments and handouts • Be prompt and accurate in the recording and reporting of student data • Support students’ learning goals by: o Focusing on student learning outcomes o Taking into account the needs and abilities of the students o Becoming familiar with academic and social support o Making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences o Maintaining the academic integrity of the college o Making himself/herself available to assist student in achieving their learning goals
Education/ Experience
Doctoral degree preferred (or an equivalent of highest attainable degree)
