Note: All full-time positions include the option of $0 out-of-pocket premium cost for Employee Only PPO AND exceptionally low premiums for all other PPO coverage levels.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for providing lead generation and professional support to the Business Development Department by assisting with prospecting research, marketing coordination and account servicing. The Business Development Specialist is responsible for all account records, serving as the liaison and main point of contact for the department. This position actively participates in the sales process in support of Tower’s business development goals.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Proactively researches prospects for targeted growth opportunities from various media sources, generating and assigning leads for the business development team.
- Serves as main point of contact for the Business Development department externally, responding to account requests for scheduling site visits, providing marketing materials, and account outreach. This position is also the main point of contact for all Tower departments, responding to multiple requests from branches, providing all departments with appropriate information when adding to our field of membership
- Provides professional support to the Business Development department, maintaining all field of membership documentation, coordinating with various internal departments to ensure accurate details, coding, and records are current and secure. This position is responsible for complete and timely submission of all NCUA applications.
- Assist and participate in marketing and sales activities including site visits; which may include opening new member accounts and interfacing with prospective, new, and existing Tower members
- Prepares all business development activity reports and has ultimate responsibility for maintaining customer relationship management data in Salesforce.
- Tracks and monitors all new member applications that enter the Tower process through Business Development functions.
- Maintains accurate records for all distributed marketing materials, promotional items and supplies required for business development activities, such as site visits, benefit fairs, sponsored events and branch events.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2-year degree and 3-5 years of professional support experience while providing lead generation for a sales team. Salesforce experience preferred. Member service preferably in a business office setting desired

- Has knowledge of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures and all regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be willing to travel to various locations for site visits
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and demonstrate sufficient dexterity and vision to operate a variety of office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Ability to work the hours needed which may extend beyond the defined work schedule when operating conditions dictate.
