Responsibilities
The ECMO Coordinator functions as a member of the Healthcare team in a manner consistent with their scope of practice in Pennsylvania in concert with the policies and procedures of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. The ECMO Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of policies/procedures, education of staff, and quality assurance for ECMO program. In addition, the ECMO coordinator provides expert oversight for the clinical aspects of the program. In addition the coordinator will function in the role of a registered nurse or respiratory therapist.
