About us

Town of Salley is a small business in Salley, SC. We are professional, fast-paced, creative and our goal is to add a part-time maintenance operator with a focus on our water system and a backup to our Maintenance Operator.

Our work environment includes:

  • Flexible working hours

Responsibilities:
- Reading, replacing and repairing water meters
- Exercising and maintaining water line valves
- Respond to service calls and perform field service repairs as needed
- Installation, maintenance and repair of water and sewer lines
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement
- Fire hydrant maintenance, repair and flushing

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Person in a water industry setting
- Proficient in analyzing and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients

Note: Military experience or experience as an Industrial Electrician is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.02 - $16.33 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week

  • Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
