Summary:
The Art Director will be responsible for creating either initial visual concepts or adapting design based on existing brand Visual Identity Systems. The Art Director partners with the Writer to build strategic, well-composed and aesthetically pleasing Creative that meets the client objectives and creative strategy. This role effectively manages all or part of the process from the kick off, through design, revisions and finally to hand off for print production or digital development.:

Demonstrates strong skills needed for art direction including:
Design sense (i.e., color theory, typography, composition)
Applying knowledge of Brand Voice and Audience (i.e., look, tone, and feel)
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of industry and cultural trends and ability to incorporate these trends into developed work
Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills through an ability to generate multiple solutions/creative concepts/layouts across all platforms (promotional, retail, and advertising mediums)
Delivers ideas that are creative and appropriate for the business:

Ability to think visually
Knowledge of industry and retail trends and ability to incorporate these trends into developed work
Communicates concepts to senior team members, Account Leadership, and support groups quickly and effectively

Shows project leadership by delegating work to and managing interns as well as outside resources (e.g., photographers, illustrators, television/video producers)

Shows financial responsibility by working within project budgets, finding innovative cost-saving solutions, and completing timesheets every week

Establishes and maintains the agency “Vision and Values” in the department and the agency.
Requirements:
Years’ Experience: 2 years working in an agency environment or in-house creative
Education: Four-Year Degree (preferred but not required)
Must have portfolio demonstrating creative output and conceptual ability
