Job Summary:
The Residential Supply Sales Leader will play a pivotal role in driving accelerated growth across both the Residential HVAC Equipment and Supply business units. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a growth strategy for residential equipment product sold over the counter in our Supply locations as well as our parts and supply products being sold to residential distributors and dealers. The successful candidate will establish strong partnerships with local/regional team members and leverage sales excellence processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy:
    • An accelerated growth strategy for residential equipment products distributed via the Trane Supply channel.
    • Applicable sales promotions as warranted.
  • Collaborate with:
    • Regional supply and equipment leadership and sales teams to execute the growth strategy.
    • Supply business unit to develop and deliver annual operating plan for parts sold to residential distributors and dealers.
    • Sales enablement team to manage parts quotas for Residential Account Managers.
    • Cross-functional teams to identify market needs, customer needs and competitive opportunities to inform sales strategies.
  • Analyze and evaluate:
    • Programs and customer incentives for transactional residential equipment purchases.
    • Applicable best practices, sales tools and training programs across North America.
  • Sales data and performance metrics to assess team effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain:
    • Strong relationships with internal stakeholders including marketing, product management, inventory planning, legal, finance and operations.
    • Information sharing cadence with the Supply business unit, independent distribution partners, Dealer Sales Offices and senior leadership team.
  • Represent and promote:
    • Supply channel for residential equipment production and inventory planning.
    • RHVAC business unit in parts and supplies inventory planning.
    • A culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement across both selling organizations.
    • Implementation and adoption of sales excellence processes
    • Participate in monthly operating reviews for residential equipment sold via the Supply channel and parts and supplies sold via the IWD/DSO sales channels.

Qualifications:
  • Four-year BA/BS degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Five years of HVAC industry sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Broad knowledge of HVAC distribution, dealer sales and transactional over-the-counter sales.
  • Experience managing program development and administration.
  • 50% travel
