Responsibilities:

• This position will work with the Public Works Asset Management team.
• Duties include a wide variety of technical work including developing and producing graphic, digital and printed materials that are associated with analyzing and representing Geographic Information System (GIS), enhance, expand, and maintain the GIS as it relates to both office and field engineering of the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of public and private facilities.
• Configures and performs work that includes creating and editing data sets, maps and GIS web mapping. This includes; but is not limited to, the database; entry of point, line and polygon attribute information, Global Positioning System (GPS) data collection field work. Considerable tact and courtesy are required in frequent contact with developers; contractors; consultants; Sewer Maintenance staff and the public.

Qualifications:  

• Three years of programming, systems analysis, or work experience related to area of assignment or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
• Valid Kansas Driver’s License.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
