Job Description Summary Under the direction of an In-Charge Auditor, a successful candidate will work with a team to audit a variety of areas at Transamerica. Audits could include complex operational, financial, compliance or information technology. Job Description Responsibilities: Assist in identifying controls, assessing control design, testing control effectiveness and concluding on the control environment. Conduct interviews with client personnel and perform walk-throughs to evaluate controls. Create flowcharts, write narratives and conclude on controls based on information obtained through interviews with clients. Identify and escalate potential issues to audit lead. Assist in preparing audit observations and make practical, value-added recommendations to improve the business risk profile, enhance management practices and increase efficiency/effectiveness of operations. Assist in supporting external audit-related projects by completing assigned tasks. Follow established audit methodology and practice guides. May assist other staff auditors. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or management information systems, or equivalent experience. Strong documentation skills and willingness to develop technical auditing skills. Analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members and internal clients. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Internal Audit (CIA) - Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - or related certifications. Working Conditions: Office environment. Hybrid employees will need to work at a Company office location at times and a remote work location (typically their home) at times.
