Overview
The Human Resources Specialist acts as a business partner by implementing Company HR strategy and by providing HR guidance, tools and support to local management teams on a daily basis. This position will represent the overall HR function with the highest level of integrity at all times sharing the Company’s vision and operating principals.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline- Preferred
- 2-4 years experience of HR Generalist experience.
- 2-4 years heavy recruiting experience.
- Experience working in a union environment; specifically assisting grievances.
- Transportation experience helpful.
- Experience working with and knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence people at all levels of the organization, both vertical and horizontal.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple projectssimultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives.
- Proficient in ADP and HRIS systems (i.e., entering, running reports, etc.).
- Trapeze and VDS experience helpful.
- Able to interact effectively with a variety of internal and external customers in various positions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Excel, and Access.

- 90% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
- 10% of work is accomplished out of doors.
- Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and repetitive hand wrist-eye and finger motion, and extensive computer work. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Limited light lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required.
- May be asked to travel to company functions or for outside training.
