What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker position at Transdev?

Utility Worker
Maintains vehicles and the building in conjunction with Transdev's Maintenance Department: maintain meter readings, stocks required supplies and equipment, and coordinates the flow of buses to ensure safe operation. Performs light maintenance as necessary to buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Routinely maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
  • Move vehicles in building and lot, and deliver vehicles to locations and fuel/inspection stations
  • Maintain vehicle mileage records
  • Building supplies inventory
  • Clean and maintain building interior and exterior
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to weekends and overnight
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to learn and perfect maintenance skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, repetitive hand/wrist motion, legs, and whole-body movement, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals – access to safety protective gear.
