Demographic/EPIC Specialist

Our Demographic Specialist oversees reviewing and ensuring all patients information is correct before it goes to the billing department to bill the patient and/or insurance companies. If patients' information is not correct you will check multiple systems to get the most update personal information you can for the patient. Preferred candidate for this position will have extensive background working in and knowing the EPIC system.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Input and process patient information from multiple systems.
2. Verify patient demographics including insurance information

· Research and records complete and accurate patient service data and uses this data in the filing of insurance claims.

· Research edits lists, correcting errors and making sure that claim corrections are submitted appropriately and timely.

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. 1 year office experience or 2-year business related degree preferred
2. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
3. Ability to navigate multiple software tools and platforms
4. Strong background using EPIC is a must
5. Knowledge of Medicaid or Medicare Claim Processing regulations preferred but not required
6. Strong background using Microsoft products
7. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, but also a team player.
8. Able to work within a collaborative team structure with shared knowledge and responsibilities.
9. Must be able to sit for long periods and work on a computer for majority of the shift
10. Must be detailed oriented
