SUMMARY Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors while driving in a safe manner at all times. This requires sitting in a vehicle and being able to maneuver in and out of said vehicle.
Checks with warehouse manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or warehouse associates before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
Ability to lift, move parts up to 120 lbs. when required.
Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
Assist with shipping/receiving/warehouse responsibilities when not delivering
Operate forklift to load/unload product when required
Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
Maintains professional appearance.
Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Responsible for documenting lunch breaks on driver logs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma/GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to use and communicate by cell phone; computer; and basic computer programs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 130 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to push/pull a force up to 120 lbs. during the normal course of the workday. Must be able to climb up and down steps to reach for, pull out and carry parts from warehouse shelving.
Requires standing, bending, stretching, stooping, crouching, reaching and manipulating a computer keyboard; heavy lifting. Requires the use of both hands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, cold and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
