What You Will Be Doing: TransPerfect operates a world-class events program with hundreds of events, each designed to deliver a memorable experience to attendees and strengthen the TransPerfect brand. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and detail-oriented Event Marketing Specialist to lead and support a significant part of our Global Events program within TransPerfect Life Sciences. TransPerfect Life Sciences specializes in supporting the global development and commercialization of drugs, treatments, and devices designed to improve and save lives. Our comprehensive global content solutions include eTMF and eClinical technologies, paper TMF migration, pharmacovigilance and safety solutions, translation and language services, and call center support. This position will report to the Event Marketing Lead. Every event is a bit different, and the ideal candidate will embrace the various opportunities and outlets for creativity to make attendees say, “Wow!” Responsibilities: Drive revenue ROI by ensuring effective participation in industry conferences and proprietary events Drive revenue ROI by ensuring our proprietary C3 Summit regional events deliver high value to attendees Help to expand our C3 Summit into a larger annual industry event Lead internal and external events as part of TransPerfect’s Global Marketing and Communications team Support in tradeshow planning, including coordinating speaking opportunities and post-tradeshow social events to drive ROI and industry recognition Utilize our proprietary online event management platform to track processes, costs, and tasks and provide visibility for senior management into our events program Work as part of the team that runs our conferences, forums, panels, and other thought-leadership events for TransPerfect Work closely with the executive support team and other internal teams to ensure our events meet the business goals and expectations of leadership Work with TransPerfect’s key suppliers to ensure we get the most value out of those relationships (budgetary but also in terms of the services we receive) Own and manage the budget for your assigned events, maximizing resources to deliver impressive, valuable experiences Manage a portfolio of events from conception to planning and delivery, and ensure every occasion reflects an impeccable eye for detail Supervise events onsite, making sure they run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule (Our events are local, regional, national, and international, so you’ll get to travel and experience new places regularly.) Understand the business goals behind our events and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that their business goals are met through internal conferences and summits The ideal Event Operations Specialist will have: Creative vision – we want you to make your mark on the events that you oversee Leadership and collaboration skills – some events will require you to run solo or as a team lead while others will require you to be on someone else’s team A high level of organization, efficiency, and attention to detail The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, with tight deadlines, and in high-stress situations Commitment to timelines, processes, and structure Confidence and professionalism with great social skills – ability to work effectively with people both inside and outside of the organization ranging from interns to C-level employees Service orientation The instinct to be proactive and go the extra mile to deliver at a high level The availability and willingness to travel – 10–20% travel required, sometimes with short notice Who We Are Looking For: Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in marketing or related field 1–3 years of proven events experience Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Basic design capabilities (PowerPoint, Canva, etc.) Prior work on events and/or executive support Brand management/development experience Why TransPerfect: For more than 25 years, we have honed a culture where all kinds of ideas are shared and new ventures are not only welcomed but also encouraged.
