Position Overview
Transport Enterprise Leasing, LLC (TEL) is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our rapidly growing company located in the beautiful Lookout Valley area of Chattanooga, TN. While we are still in the fastest growing growth phase in the history of the company, this position allows a great opportunity for a candidate to come in at the ground floor and make a difference in our company. Our customers include small companies, fortune 500 companies as well as Entrepreneurs who become Owner-Operators.

The Lease Purchase Business Development Manager is responsible for sourcing and building rapport with new leads, engaging commitment of potential customers, and relationship-building with existing clients through a results-focused, innovative, and creative problem-solving approach. The LP Business Development Manager is a subject matter expert on TEL’s Lease Purchase service offerings, and effectively communicates TEL’s value to new and existing diverse carrier and independent contractor audiences.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support
  • Leads recruiting efforts in the professional driver market to position TEL as a premier provider of high-quality independent contractors to our carrier partners
  • Idea-generation to expand TEL’s brand recognition in the equipment leasing marketplace for qualified customers
  • Monitor TEL Lease Purchase social media pages and participate on TEL LP’s behalf in other relevant forums and platforms
  • Enthusiastically source and engage new leads through attending industry events, outreach to manufacturers and other distributors, leading marketing campaigns, and engaging directly with target customers
  • Accountable for KPIs around Lead Generation, Paid Recruits into carrier programs, and Lead Conversion
  • Maintain industry expertise and share news, trends, and/or disruptors with divisional team
  • Complete special projects and other assignments as delegated by management
  • Be responsive and provide ongoing support to the division’s sales and advising teams, along with developing strong working relationships with other operational support departments and team members
  • Ensure non-disclosure of proprietary information and client lists
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and education
  • Five or more years of recruiting experience in the transportation industry.  Lease Purchase program and/or Independent Contractor knowledge is a plus
  • Working experience that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility
  • Salesforce experience or another comparable CRM
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good understanding of financial statements and formulas
  • HubSpot experience preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort, enthusiasm, expertise, sympathy, and patience in driver-facing communication
  • Deep understanding of transportation company trucking operations
  • Idea-generation, creative problem-solving, and action-orientation under minimal supervision
  • High and competitive initiative, eagerness to explore new frontiers, and lead conversations
  • Achieve results, while staying aligned with the larger picture and strategy of the division
  • Outgoing, poised, and persuasive communication style to diverse audiences
Wages:
$65,000 annually based on experience, plus commission
