TransUnion's Job Applicant Privacy Notice What We'll Bring: The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, provisioning, monitoring and maintaining the public cloud automation framework. Successful candidate requires experience in systems engineering and cloud automation, be a critical thinker, a scripter with strong coding skills that will be used to automate repeatable tasks. Additionally, the candidate must be highly organized with strong communication skills and a mindset for continuous improvement. What You'll Bring: Responsible for the design, creation, configuration and delivery of cloud infrastructure environments using automation best practices and a proactive strategy. Responsible for automating the infrastructure build in cloud environments. Responsible for automation of operational processes. Responsible for developing and driving improvements, maintaining/monitoring production and non-production systems, ensuring platforms perform at maximum efficiency and security. Share on-call rotation with the team. Serve as the primary backup for the Database Administrator, with occasional periods of DBA on-call duty. Impact You'll Make: 4 years of SRE/DevOps production operation in large scale, Internet facing infrastructure. Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. AWS/GCP Certification or Solution Architecture Certification are a plus. Direct experience building cloud-based infrastructure solutions in AWS or GCP with a strong governance model knowledge. Proficient of Linux operating systems (RHEL/CentOS/Debian) and its fundamentals. Knowledgeable in continuous integration, continuous deployment, application performance monitoring, and alerting systems. Experience in multiple scripting languages Python, Bash. Experience in supporting containerized workloads docker, EKS, GKE, Kubernetes. Cloud automation experience with tools such as Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Chef etc. Knowledge of cloud monitoring and management systems. Worked with DevOps tools Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Jira. Knowledgeable of tools like Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Monitoring. A working knowledge of SQL query writing, both DML and DDL. Experience working with and/or managing PostgreSQL is a plus. Problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and prioritize work against competing deadlines and changing business priorities. Pay Scale Information : The salary range for this position is $68,195.00 - $111,800.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job.
