Position Summary:
The Vice President, Sales position will lead sales for CCP Industries, a division of The Tranzonic Companies.  Established in 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio, CCP Industries is the North American leader in industrial and commercial safety and cleaning products and solutions. We are a manufacturer & direct supplier of wiping cloths, cleaning supplies & safety products. This role is a key driver of the company’s sales strategy, responsible for leading and growing the direct sales team. This role requires a results-oriented, visionary leader with a proven track record in achieving revenue targets within a direct sales framework.
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives. 
  • Provide visionary leadership to the direct sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing direct sales team. 
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development to drive individual and team success. 
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for growth and market penetration. 
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects. 
  • Ensure a customer-centric approach to sales, addressing client needs and concerns effectively. 
  • Stay informed about product developments and industry trends. 
  • Provide ongoing training to the direct sales team to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. 
  • Utilize data-driven insights to adapt sales strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.  
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment with sales objectives. 
  • Provide input into product development based on direct customer feedback. 

 Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field; MBA is a plus. 
  • Proven track record in senior sales leadership roles, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience managing and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Visionary thinking to anticipate market trends and position the company for success.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Experience in setting and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management and the ability to foster long-term, profitable relationships with B2B clients.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
  • In-depth knowledge of the B2B market, industry trends, and competitors.
  • Ability to leverage market insights to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a diverse sales team.
  • Ability to recruit, train, and retain top sales talent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate the value proposition of the company's products or services.
  • Strong negotiation skills to close deals and secure mutually beneficial agreements with clients.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and overcome objections.
  • Proficiency in using sales analytics and metrics to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure a cohesive and aligned approach to business objectives.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs, and business priorities.
  • Agility to pivot strategies and tactics based on feedback and results.
  • Strong commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with industry regulations.
  • 40% travel required.
Position location: Cleveland, Ohio based is preferred.  If located outside of Cleveland, ability to travel frequently to Cleveland is required.
