TravelBoom is looking for a highly motivated marketing specialist and project manager to join our growing team of hospitality marketers. This position requires a hard-working and flexible demeanor with the ability to quickly learn new skills.
Position Description:
The Marketing Specialist will collaborate with the client success (account management) team, marketing services team and agency clients on the development and execution of all campaigns and projects. The ideal coordinator must thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment, have exceptional organizational skills, have a proactive attitude, excellent people skills and a sincere interest in helping hoteliers succeed online. Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Marketing Specialist Role & Responsibilities:
- Supports the account management team in daily deliverables, activities, budgets, and deadlines for client campaigns and projects
- Coordinate or participate in the project cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, training and closure of web-based campaigns, email, app, and site development.
- Coordinates the products, services, and advertising requirements of each client
- Ensures orderly and timely completion of project work.
- Stay aware of client activities to provide backup for the account service and marketing service teams when necessary.
- Coordinates development of project proposals/timelines, budgets, and paid marketing plans with oversight from account service leadership team
- Facilitates all administrative duties including weekly status reports, project documentation, client billing, and internal job management
- Completes tasks as necessary to support the agency and the account services team
- Manages small projects as assigned
- By request, take minutes at meetings, prepare, and distribute conference reports (action items), etc.
- Proofing and testing of all work, both internal and client-based, as requested
- Gain a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, products, business culture and competition
- Continually learn and stay abreast of the latest trends, news, and technology impacting the hospitality industry.
- Attend client meetings and serve as a touchpoint for clients to the agency
- When possible, represents TravelBoom at industry events and trade shows
- Adheres to the stated process and procedures of TravelBoom
Project Manager Role & Responsibilities:
Once an account coordinator has had the opportunity to learn and become familiar with TravelBoom, our business, and clients; they will transition into a project manager role where they will have the opportunity to manage the internal workflow of larger projects. These responsibilities include:
- Acts as the primary point of contact between the internal departments and the success manager
- Developing relationships with internal teams and working closely with them to understand their capabilities
- Works closely with team members to develop and execute strategic plans, projects, reports, correspondence, budgets, and timelines
- Develop a thorough understanding of the planning, timelines, budgets, development, and production of client projects
- Proactively gathers the necessary information to plan and implement each client project and scheduling the job from start to finish including the assignment of who is handling what
- Communicates information via tasking and proper direction that is needed for each segment of the project
- Responsible for all internal parties that need to proof the projects completely before sending them to the account manager
- Provides timely issuance of all documentation: proposals, project initiations, creative briefs, estimates, timelines, meeting summaries, and status and budget reports
- Manages time and financial resources to ensure client projects are on time and on budget
General Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university (preferably in marketing, advertising, or related field)
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Results oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail, reliably and great energy
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of digital marketing
- Well versed in Google's suite of productivity tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
