Overview

TRC Advanced Energy created a Workforce Development program to strengthen our connection to the local community and create enhanced employment opportunities for individuals desiring to enter the clean energy workforce.
TRC is seeking an energetic Project Finance Apprentice for a 14-week, paid workforce development program. As Project Finance Apprentice, you will support the contracting and management of energy efficiency and clean energy incentive programs and related administrative functions. Eligible candidates will be a hands-on, skilled resource with a combination of finance and Excel-based analysis experience. Background in working with public authorities, state agencies, and utility grant programs is a plus.
On-the-job training will be provided for the responsibilities listed below:
Responsibilities
- Analyzing project transactions in both financial databases and project databases
- Conducting Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews of all databases
- Reviewing and updating project finance spreadsheets
- Data entry and Salesforce CRM work
- Developing PowerPoint slides to summarize financial analysis results
- Fiscal Year Planning and variance analysis
- General administrative support of project managers
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills: proficient in Excel as well Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Understanding of key accounting functionality including revenue recognition and Days Sales Outstanding
- Verifiable work history
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, ability to meet timelines and ability to work with little supervision
- Reliable home Internet Service
- Ability to set up home office using company-provided equipment
