Energy Efficiency Outreach Coordinator
TRC Companies (TRC) is a national engineering and energy efficiencyconsulting firm that provides integrated services to the energy, environmental, and infrastructure markets across the United States. TRC serves a broad range of clients in the public and private sectors, implementing energy efficiency programs and complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.
TRC manages portions of New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) and is seeking an energetic NJ based Outreach Coordinator to engage with professional organizations, event coordinators, commercial/industrial/government contractors, vendors, and customers regarding the implementation of energy efficiency and the NJCEP Programs available to assist them.
This candidate will be responsible for providing support to multiple outreach account managers, handling customer accounts/calls, booking conference/trade show and other events and securing all necessary booth services when applicable, maintaining account manager event calendars and schedules, utilizing CRM software for lead, opportunity, and participant tracking, organize and evaluate existing and potential association memberships.
Job Duties
The ideal candidate will:
- Engage with account managers, vendors and customers via phone and email
- Manage expense budget and provide regular updates to Outreach management
- Work with and maintain program collateral library, event giveaway inventory and other supplies.
- Support program marketing at scheduled workshops, tradeshows, other events, and webinars
- Coordinate and support team meetings by preparing agendas, minutes, etc.
- Provide event and project tracking, reporting, and invoicing support, and other administrative duties
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability with a proactive and collaborative style that works well in teams
- Demonstrate organizational, time-management and planning skills
- Have the ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Bachelors degree or 3 years of experience within sustainability, event coordination, marketing, energy efficiency, building science, or related field
- Strong organizational, communication (written and spoken), and time management skills
- Strong computer skills: proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases and webinar platforms, preferred
- Eager to learn new skills and software
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
- Polished and assertive phone manner and interpersonal skills
- Team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Understanding of energy efficiency/conservation in buildings is a plus
- Bi-lingual is a plus
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license in the State of New Jersey (must be obtained prior to employment); position entails some travel, mostly within New Jersey.
