TRC is hiring a Distribution Field Technician role for our San Diego, CA market. This position will require 90% travel and will gather information in the field for use in detailed designs of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems. This work includes the preparation of field notes, uploading field information gathered and updating field tracking. Possess an analytical competence to interact with variety of individuals including engineers and experienced distribution system designers.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Assist in the acquisition of field data.
- Direct interaction with landowners and/or agencies, to gain access to distribution facilities for field data collection.
- Prepare and submit field collected data and correspondence.
- Assist in the gathering of information from field notes.
- Perform tasks such as digitizing, copying and scanning of drawings, prints and maps.
- Utilize client and company information systems to track and update fielding activities.
- Follow Code of Safe Practices as outlined in the company safety policies.
