TRC is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our New York, NY office. This position would be working within our Building Sciences and Industrial Hygiene business unit within our Environmental Sector to provide business development and management of Building Sciences and Industrial Hygiene projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ordering and organization of various sampling media and safety supplies.
- Calibration and maintain scientific instrumentation.
- Perform direct reading and integrated air monitoring.
- Prepare sample chain of custody forms.
- Prepare project daily logs.
- Coordination and execution of health and safety, industrial hygiene, indoor environmental, mold/bacteria, Legionella, and water intrusion services.
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, specifications, work plans, drawings, and operation and maintenance program documents.
- Perform project oversight and coordination with contractors.
- Attend pre-bid walkthroughs, interact and communicate with clients, contractors and regulatory agency representatives.
- Travel to remote locations throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut as needed. Travel outside of these states is possible for emergency or special service needs.
- Lead, mentor and train other Industrial Hygiene staff.
- Review RFQs and assist in preparing proposals.
- Engage in TRC Safety and Quality programs and adhere to the program requirements.
- Participate in TRC groups and organizations to advance personal and TRC growth.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, and delivery of responsive, high quality services for the Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Health & Safety markets.
- Cross-sell and increase business from accounts under management, working with other company project managers and sales professionals on developing efficient business development strategies for new and existing customers.
