Job Description
As the Regional Vice President, Sales, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Sales with primary responsibility of achieving the sales revenue target for the region. You will be responsible for leading District Sales Managers and Independent Sales Agents to drive a high-performance sales team within the region. Acting as a liaison for all key corporate support within the region, you will ensure the near and long-term profitable sales goals of the company are met. This role collaborates heavily with other departments, especially Sales Operations, Marketing/Med Ed and Customer Service.
What you will be responsible for:
- Instilling a culture of accountability and empowerment, performance-based management, teamwork, and other best practices to achieve the goals of the organization
- Performance manage and motivate team of District Sales Managers (DSM) and ISAs to deliver sales team results throughout the region
- Ensuring the appropriate level of ISA and DSM engagement and support occurs to build a robust and sustained customer pipeline (attendance of surgeon webinars, qualified surgeon lab attendees, etc.)
- Building and maintaining feedback loops to ensure continuous learning for optimizing collaboration, growth, and engagement
- Ensuring a high level of integrity and compliance, including all TMC policies and AdvaMed Code of Ethics
- Uphold all TMC Core Values and Beliefs
- Attending national or regional company and society meetings as and where needed within the region
- Effectively develops and executes “gap management” plans where and when below quota performance is seen or anticipated
- Defining business metrics and setting goals
- Maintaining close working relationships with partner groups in functional areas, including Sales, Human Resources, Recruiting, Finance, Marketing and Supply Chain
- Delivering a monthly field forecast to Sales Operations by ISA/Territory and for the region
- Analyzing complex information and data, translating these findings into actionable deliverables, strategies, targets, messages, and presentations
- Translate consumer insights and working with corporate leaders to create actionable strategies and initiatives as part of business and product development plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree in Business (or similar) is preferred
- 5 years of successful medical device sales plus 2 years of director level (or above) sales management experience, with demonstrated progressive levels of accomplishment and quota achievement
- Experience in foot and ankle and/or extremity orthopedics is preferred.
