REPORTS TO: Lead Engineer, Superintendent, Director 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform and observes preventive, routine, and emergency service on building’s electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other miscellaneous equipment and tools. 

TASK:

• Performs in building minor new construction and renovations.
• Clean general maintenance work debris.
• Security escort procedures are in place when access to restricted area is required.
• Job functions do not include maintenance or operation of gaming equipment.
• Perform general maintenance duties.
• Prepares daily work forms/logs.
• Helps maintain neat order of shop and parts room.
• Responds to maintenance requests and room calls.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills with fellow workers and guests.
• Treats staff members and guests with respect and understanding. 
• Shows up on time and clocks in/out for scheduled work days.
• Must be able to operate equipment, machines, and hand/power tools for general maintenance repair work. 
• Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules and regulations.

EDUCATION OR SKILLS REQUIRED: Must be able to read and write, be able to follow oral and written instructions. High School education or equivalent preferred. Trade School education in mechanics desired. Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical equipment desirable.  Forklift experience helpful. Working knowledge of installation and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with the trade. Two years’ experience of maintenance or related field. High degree of ambulatory mobility to enable person to respond to any type of emergency situation or service call. Ability to effectively communicate by way of 2 way radio or pager system. Blueprint reading skills preferred. Desire for routine or repetitive work. 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Must be able to work long hours in the event of an emergency. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to walk, and stand most of the day.

HAZARDS: Include, but are not limited to:  neck and back strain, eyestrain, stress and related disorders. May be exposed to electrical shocks and burns as well as falls from ladders. Fingers and manual dexterity, motor coordination, color discrimination depth perception.
