What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Tree Top?
We are currently searching for a qualified individual to fill the position of Production Worker at Northwest Naturals in Bothell, WA.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Production Worker is responsible for efficiently batching, blending, filling, and preparing various products to be shipped to customers. Position performs basic maintenance on production equipment; ensures equipment and work area are properly sanitized; prepares outbound shipments; receives incoming raw materials; and follows proper procedures and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:
ABILITY TO:
- Read and write in English.
- Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions.
- Effectively organize, plan, and execute.
- Meet behaviors established in NW Naturals’ performance management and development process.
EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of food processing/production experience is preferred.
- GMP Training and Valid Forklift Operator’s License are required; in-house training will be provided if needed.
- Sanitation Training is preferred; in-house training will be provided if needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Constantly works in a manufacturing/plant and occasionally has exposures to an outdoors environment
- Occasionally works overtime
- Physical requirements of the job:
- Constantly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds
- Vision requirements: Constantly uses far vision, color vision, and depth perception
- Constantly stands, listens/uses hearing, sits, and/or tastes or smells
- Frequently lifts, talks, pulls, uses repetitive hand motions, and/or drives
- Occasionally climbs, crouches, walks, kneels, reaches, stoops, and/or crawls
- Types of exposures encountered on the job: Constantly has exposures to loud machine/equipment noise; frequently has exposures to toxic or caustic chemicals; and occasionally has exposures to odors or fumes, extreme heat/cold temperatures, moving mechanical parts, and/or high, precarious places
