The Lead ensures that the line is set up according to scheduled, including crew members. The team lead oversees all aspects of working safely, ensuring employees follow policies and procedures, and plays a key role to provide training and coaching on the job. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Coordinate product change overs according to the production schedule. Ensure appropriate staffing levels in order to complete daily schedules. Coordinate the coverage positions that are open due to absenteeism. Assist others in production. This includes relieving for restroom breaks, providing extra assistance during equipment break downs, and to help when the team is short staffed due to absenteeism or Team Members are in meetings, or training sessions. Achieve qualification on all jobs on the team including the ability to perform all quality assurance checks. Assist with the planning and coordination of employee meetings and other various other employee related activities. Demonstrate the ability to facilitate the employees. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformances relating to Food Safety and Food Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. Controls further processing or delivery of non-conforming product in terms of Food Safety or Food Quality concerns until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Responsible for reporting Food Safety and Food Quality problems to the appropriate personnel. Follow quality and safety programs, policies/procedures, themselves in order to ensure products made here meet the highest standards possible. Thorough understanding of all Company policies/procedures, including GMPs and Safety policies. Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 1st. shift, which operates from 6:30am to 3:00pm. Monday through Friday with the flexibility of working some Saturdays.
