Trees Atlanta is a nationally recognized non-profit community group that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating. Founded in 1985, Trees Atlanta works tirelessly to address Atlanta’s tree loss, protect its forests, and create new greenspace. Empowered by its wonderful community of volunteers, Trees Atlanta serves the metro Atlanta area, and has grown to become one of Atlanta’s most widely known and supported non-profit organizations.
Trees Atlanta is searching for an enthusiastic, committed individual with strong problem solving skills to serve as Office Manager. This individual will serve as the building concierge for staff, tenants, clients, and guests and will be the point person for facility and office-related projects. They will be a key member of the team, facilitating organizational efficiency and effectiveness by overseeing the Trees Atlanta Kendeda TreeHouse operations and resources.
You will have the opportunity to protect and improve Atlanta's urban forest in many meaningful ways:
Facilitate an organized, friendly, and safe office environment
- Supervise a team of front-desk volunteers
- Respond to inquiries via organization email and phone line
- Accept and distribute mail and deliveries
- Purchase, organize, maintain, and inventory office resources
- Manage room reservations
- Manage distribution list for office-wide communications
- Organize safety initiatives and schedule trainings
- Serve as the liaison for the Board of Directors
Ensure our building stays in excellent shape
- Oversee building maintenance
- Manage utility accounts, building security accounts, and process facility invoices
- Enforce facility and grounds rules
- Schedule and oversee janitorial services, staff cleaning rotation, and green initiatives
- Manage all Trees Atlanta-owned equipment and supplies
- Oversee alarm codes, keys, and access cards
Keep our tenants happy
- Serve as point of contact for all tenant needs
- Provide general lease administration
Oversee event rental process
- Be the point person for our contract Event Rental Manager who responsibilities include:
- Respond to inquiries in a timely manner and coordinate client support
- Schedule and execute facility tours
- Ensure contract terms and services are fulfilled
- Manage rental calendar and ongoing care of event space
- Communicate office wide when events will affect facility and grounds usage
What you need:
- Two to four years relevant work experience
- Commitment to Trees Atlanta's mission and a willingness to learn Trees Atlanta’s programs
- Willingness to be the go-to person in the office
- Eagerness to act as an ambassador for the organization, demonstrating a high level of customer service
- Initiative, proficiency, and perseverance with project management, handling multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage a team of volunteers
- Ability to resolve conflict and troubleshoot challenges
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Salesforce (working knowledge of other project management software helpful)
- Ability to work autonomously, making logical judgments and efficient decisions with minimal direction
