What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer II position at Trew?
As an Engineer II, you will assisting with the design and layout of new projects. You will start to lead smaller scope projects, working with a team of engineers, taking responsibility for the drawing details and BOM checking responsibilities of various projects.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Physical Requirements Required to stand, walk and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. Travel less than 10%

Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Assist and lead layout and design of material handling projects
- Assist and lead in the generation and checking of project equipment lists based on project need
- Prepare detail drawings and drawing packages that highlight how equipment is to be installed
- Generate PE / Permit drawing packages to submit to local jurisdictions for project permitting
- Travel to active job sites and support the installation and commissioning of Trew’s material handling equipment
- General commissioning / checkout documentation validate proper installation of Trew’s material handling equipment
- Participate and lead system design reviews, and generate notes to be distributed to the project team
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experienced knowledge of drafting software (AutoCAD)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, define schedule, and manage time efficiently
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and attentive to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- 2-5 years of related experience, preferably in the material handling industry
