We are looking for a Maintenance Tech to help us meet production and quality goals. As a Trex Maintenance Tech, you’ll be responsible for supporting production equipment repairs and upgrades and performing general and preventive maintenance This role is a key member of our Operations team.

This is a unique opportunity to join the organization at an expansion stage and help build talent and culture from the ground up, as we build Trex’s new location in Little Rock. A high level of accountability and coordination, along with a focus on relationships and willingness to travel regularly to other established locations during the early months of this role will be key components to success.

This position is currently a Dayshift Monday through Friday 7 AM - 3 PM Position.  The position will require overtime when needed to support the equipment installation.  The position will transition to a 12-hr (2-2-3) position within 12 months and could potentially become a Night Shift Position after the transition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Put safety first – Always!

  • Promote and practice all aspects of job safety.

  • Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on-site.
  • Learn to troubleshoot programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic.
  • Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, and welding as required.
  • Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
  • Participation in housekeeping activities to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates acceptably and safely.
  • Participate in additional duties as required by the department team lead or manager.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Able to lead small team projects creating a cooperative and effective work environment.

EXPERIENCE

5-9 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience is required for this role. A High School Diploma (or GED) along with a high mechanical aptitude and welding experience is also required. An associate degree in industrial maintenance is a plus. If you have worked as a Maintenance Lead or Maintenance Specialist, we want to hear from you!

You must have the ability to wear the required PPE, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and attend offsite training classes (1-2 weeks per year, with proper notice).
