Registered Nurse
Head Start/State Pre-K/Early Head Start
Full Time Position (35 Hours per week) Southern Region
General Responsibilities: Conducting health checks on infants, toddlers and preschool age children as requested; tracking medical and oral health data according to the Rhode Island EPSDT recommended schedule of wellness for all children enrolled; tracking required documentation for prenatal clients, assisting families with obtaining a medical or dental home as needed; conducting health screenings on children as needed; providing relevant health support and resources to staff and families for enrolled children; conducting home visits as requested, maintaining updated information about COVID-19 regulations as they relate to child care; entering documentation of all medical, including immunizations, and dental documentation into the program electronic management system (ChildPlus); frequently communicating with families about their child’s medical status; and providing staff training on health procedures as required.
Qualifications: BS and RN license in the State of Rhode Island.
Special Qualifications: self-starter, strong initiative, compassion for clients, and work cooperatively in a team environment. Strong data management skills required. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance. Demonstrate an understanding of everyone’s experiences, every day. Ensuring the delivery of services that recognizes and respects that every moment matters.
