Job Description:

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day to day human resource operations. This position will also have HR related duties on a professional level and work closely with current HR personnel. This position carries out responsibilities that are not limited to the following functional areas: benefits administration, onboarding and DOT Compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain accurate records of new hires, terminations and other employment changes.
  • Ensure employee data is up-to-date and confidential.
  • Help create and maintain job descriptions.
  • Handle Onboarding process.
  • Handle verification forms, unemployment claims and other employee inquiries.
  • Maintain DOT files and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assists with benefits administration

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Assistant or Generalist required.
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • bachelor's degree in Human Resource a plus
  • Previous DOT experience preferred

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
