Job Description:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day to day human resource operations. This position will also have HR related duties on a professional level and work closely with current HR personnel. This position carries out responsibilities that are not limited to the following functional areas: benefits administration, onboarding and DOT Compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain accurate records of new hires, terminations and other employment changes.
- Ensure employee data is up-to-date and confidential.
- Help create and maintain job descriptions.
- Handle Onboarding process.
- Handle verification forms, unemployment claims and other employee inquiries.
- Maintain DOT files and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assists with benefits administration
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven work experience as an HR Assistant or Generalist required.
- Solid understanding of labor legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- bachelor's degree in Human Resource a plus
- Previous DOT experience preferred
This is a full time position, Monday through Friday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
