We are seeking a responsible and dedicated Crossing Guard to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians at designated crosswalks. As a Crossing Guard, you will play a vital role in maintaining order and ensuring the safe passage of individuals in high-traffic areas.
```Duties:```
- Safely guide pedestrians, especially children, across designated crosswalks
- Monitor traffic flow and assist in controlling traffic when necessary
- Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and school staff to ensure a smooth and safe crossing experience
- Maintain visibility by wearing reflective gear and using appropriate signage
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures
- Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate authorities
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on safety regulations and best practices
```Qualifications:```
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals of all ages
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of vital signs, including CPR and first aid techniques
- Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, HIPAA, and compliance management protocols
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time and withstand various weather conditions
Note: Prior experience as a Crossing Guard is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
