About The Role
This is a newly created role reporting to the Finance Director that will have you at the forefront of shaping financial strategies, collaborating with talented teams, and making a tangible impact on The Collective’s growth trajectory.
As the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead, you will be instrumental in steering the organisation's financial success, offering strategic financial guidance and analysis for commercial activities. This role entails overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to bolster business decisions and enhance financial performance.

As the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead, you will be instrumental in steering the organisation's financial success, offering strategic financial guidance and analysis for commercial activities. This role entails overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to bolster business decisions and enhance financial performance.
Key Responsibilities Include
Financial Planning and Analysis Champion:
- Craft and manage robust financial models to guide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Lead the charge in annual budget processes and ongoing financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Dive deep into financial performance analysis, uncovering trends, risks, and opportunities to drive informed decision-making and optimize commercial strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and NPD teams, offering financial insights and support to assess the viability of business cases and new product developments.
- Partner with Sales to conduct comprehensive price, volume, and mix analyses, empowering strategic pricing decisions that maximize profitability.
- Conduct ROI analyses on various commercial initiatives, providing valuable financial insights to guide decision-making processes.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports to senior management, illuminating key performance indicators and financial metrics critical for informed decision-making.
- Spearhead the development of a long-term data warehouse strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and creating a scalable, efficient environment to support evolving business needs.
- Forge strong partnerships with Sales, Marketing, and NPD teams, gaining deep insights into business dynamics and leveraging financial expertise to drive collective success.
To be considered, you will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with a focus on commercial finance and strategic financial analysis within an FMCG and/or Customer focussed environment.
- Excellent financial modelling and analysis skills, coupled with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI (or similar BI Tool).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to convey complex financial concepts with clarity and impact.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, ensuring seamless navigation and utilisation of key tools.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, results-oriented mindset, and collaborative spirit essential for success in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
