SALARY RANGE $155K- $180K

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Manager, Engineering, is responsible for the planning, engineering, and design of the Cooperative s distribution and transmission system facilities to assure adequate system capacity, service reliability, and maintenance of these systems. This position supports the operation of communications related equipment and the delivery of accurate, reliable load data.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is a high visibility role that will entail monthly presentations to the Board of Directors, as well as regular presentations to various employee groups within the business.
- Takes direction from CEO/General Manager ensuring that the business policy and initiatives created by are being accomplished by department.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and guides the execution of processes, programs, and business operations within the department.
- Organizes, implements, and directs operation activities, while maintaining a successful culture of engagement, operation efficiency, compliance, and safety.
- Oversees the development of long and short-range work plans.
- Ensures adherence to established and safety policies, Federal, State and local safety laws, codes, and regulations; supports achievement of safety goals, monitoring and responding to safety concerns of staff, contractors and customers.
- Serves as a member of senior staff and provides assistance and support to the CEO/General Manager and other management team members as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in electric distribution planning, engineering, design, and construction. A thorough working knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission system planning, engineering, and design. Understanding and knowledge of standards set by NESC, OSHA and other state and federal agencies.
