Job description
Overall Responsibility
As an Assistant Manager you will work very closely with the General Manager, in ensuring our customers have a quality vehicle purchase and finance experience. The Assistant Manager identifies and qualifies buyers, ensures a positive customer experience and builds relationships with Tricolor stores and other local partners through a referral program. Develop relationship to existing and new customers, listening to their needs, finding solutions to their car buying needs, and making sure our customers have an excellent experience.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Approach and assist new customers that enter the lot
- Prospect for new customers and update “Lead Tracks” system
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers
- Determine the needs of the customer by listening and asking questions
- Perform walk around
- with customer and demonstrate features of suitable automobiles
- Ensure the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork
- Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat business and referrals
- Accountable for departmental performance standards; “Customer Service Index”, “Gross Average”, and vehicles sold
- Complete the automotive sales transaction from start to finish
- Interview the customer regarding their background and history
- Pull and review credit applications
- Verify employment of customer
- Verify residency of customer
- Monitor customer payment tracking
- Verify, monitor, and assure updated automotive insurance coverage
- Maintain contact with customers at all stages of delinquency
- Help customers who attempt to voluntarily surrender their vehicle to keep their vehicle while maintaining loan
- payment arrangements
- Maintain an owner follow-up and prospect system that encourages repeat and referral business that contributes to the overall customer satisfaction
- Establish personal goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet these goals
- Maintain knowledge of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc. and how they will benefit customers
- Protect the store’s assets including equipment and inventory
- Ensure the timely receipt, validity, and delivery of all title related documents
- Manage customer files and protect customer information in compliance with state and federal privacy laws, and Company policy
- Maintain the store’s “customer ready” appearance and follow merchandising protocols
- Assist in, hire, train, and direct the work of additional staff as growth dictates
- Prospect for new customers and update “Lead Tracks” system
- Has proper knowledge of products, market trends, and certification
- Knows and understands the companies Privacy and Information Security Policies, and adhere to the requirements
- Attends training and sales meetings offered by the training department
- Adhere to all our policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish Required
- Successful background in sales or customer service
- 3 or more years sales experience with at least
- Self-starter
- and self-motivated
- Proven track record of achieving or overachieving sales goal
- Ability to work in a process driven environment
- Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal
- Experience and desire to work with technology
- Ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
- Be able to create and maintain customer relationships
- Ability to find solutions to sales challenges
- Must have a valid driver license
- High School/GED education
- Ability to sell minimum quota according to sales performance standards
- Aggressive with a positive attitude
