Job Overview: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Mary Jo Cropper Breast Center and ambulatory breast imaging locations. It is the responsibility of this position to facilitate high quality services and to provide support to patients, physicians, families and other departments. This is accomplished by having appropriate staffing levels to cover the service, equipment that is in good operating condition, and the necessary supplies to perform the procedure or exam. This position provides direct supervision of staff, provides timely feedback and evaluates staff on their performance. The supervisor works in conjuction with the radiologists/physicians to provide services and care. This position is also responsible for implementing policies and procedures and monitoring adherence to all state, federal and accrediting agencies’ regulatory requirements. This position reports to the imaging manager and works closely with the manager to achieve high quality outcomes, adherence to operating budgets, safe patient care, hiring and firing, and oversight of team members. Job Requirements: Associate's Degree in Allied Health from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, MRI, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Passed certification for CVIT Boards, RMDS or CNMT acceptable in lieu of ARRT certification Modality specific registered Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technologist Ultrasonographer Unrestricted license from ODH, RMDS, or CNMT Modality specific registered Modality specific knowledge 2-3 years experience Clinical Healthcare Imaging specific experience, clinical and professional 2-3 years experience Professional Healthcare Imaging specific experience, clinical and professional Job Responsibilities: Effectively manages team to ensure efficient and high quality services. Monitors productivity and flexes team to meet the changing needs of the department. Monitors workflow and patient scheduling for maximum efficiency. Monitors wait time for appointments. Manages team performance through periodic and timely coaching, feedback, and performance counseling as necessary. Interviews and hires qualified individuals for open positions. Educates team on policies and procedures for areas of responsibility. Understands and adheres to licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agency requirements. Maintains quality controls, policy and procedures and service records required by ACR, HIPAA, JCAHO, MQSA, OSHA, and ODH. Educates team in licensing requirements. Demonstrates proficiency in the field of imaging modalities as required and maintains competency in established field. Provides clinical services or support during high demand or short staffing.
