Job Summary / Purpose Requisitions supplies and replenishes inventory. Maintains Ready to Go Goods in cold case, daily. Hot and cold food production for retail services. Maintains sanitary and organized environment. Practices and abides by food codes and applicable regulatory and accrediting agency requirements to provide safe food to our customers. Serves customers in a professional manner with great customer service. Essential Key Job Responsibilities - Hot and cold food production for retail sales. - Ready To Go cooler filled daily with hot and cold food items, soda, and juices - Sets up for caf sales – stock food and paper products, places silverware all in one direction for customers. - Knowledgeable and practices food safety codes and governing standards; federal, state, local and accreditation agencies - Checks food temperatures frequently throughout shift. Documents temperature on applicable forms, notifies Supervisor immediately of any food out of compliance. - Monitors temperature of freezers, refrigeration, dishwasher and heating unit’s through shift. Documents temperatures on appropriate forms. Notifies Supervisor immediately of any food out of compliance. - Maintain refrigeration units in clean orderly condition, compliant with food codes and regulatory agencies. - Requisitions, transports and replenishes foods and supplies to replenish the inventory in the caf. Inspects items for integrity, rotates stock, disposes of outdated products or less than optimum quality or4 correct temperature. - Properly wrap’s, labels, dates food items. Portions and packages cold food items; stock and cleans refrigerated display cases inside and out. Replenishes and cleans beverage-dispensing machines and areas. - Maintains a clean and sanitary work area, the caf serving and seating area, and equipment. - Pushes food carts, racks, and dish bins. - May cook at the grill, fryer, or sandwich grill. - Deep cleans refrigerators, warmers, counter tops and cupboards, tile and entire caf serving and seating areas including microwaves, tables, chairs and tray return. Cleans and sanitizes utensils and equipment. - Maintains signage daily - Follow’s proper cleaning techniques. Stores chemicals properly, follow MSDS rules; labels product appropriately, uses chemicals according to directions, uses PPE as necessary. - Practices safety procedures. Utilizes tools, equipment and protective equipment such as wet floor signs, proper ergonomics, informing Supervisor of safety hazards and equipment failures. - Demonstrates knowledge of effective customer service skills and performance improvement. - Uses standardized and non-standardized recipes and ingredients to prepare, create, and process foods. - Ability to properly run the dish machine & change over dish room chemicals utilizing the proper PPE. - Take & record dish machine temperatures & quaternary sanitizer temperatures in the 3 compartment sink at assigned times on required documents. - Other duties as assigned.
