JOB SUMMARY: Collaborate and Consults on the activities of the laboratory that ensure the laboratory CCV and or MRT submissions, corrections and validations are completed timely.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults on all the duties related to a Clinical Laboratory Medical Technologist (MT). Such duties include reviewing and documenting laboratory tests and procedures in all departments, such as chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and microbiology, according to established criteria outlined in the corresponding procedure manuals.
- Consults Lab Supervisor/Manager/Director or technical team on test and instrument values and data points.
- Working knowledge of the Electronic Health Record Systema
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- ASCP Certification or equivalent
- Knowledge of Sunquest Epic Beaker LIS
- Maintain high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology
- 2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting or an associate degree with at least 6 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
