What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Custodian position at Trinity United Methodist Church?
Classification: Full time, Hourly
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Reports Absences/Vacation to: Office Manager
Normal Working Hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
At Trinity United Methodist Church, every position is considered a position of ministry, exampling the high ideals of the Church Universal and representing the body of Christ to the world.
In addition, primary duties include:
1. Cleans and maintains the following areas.
a. Church Office and Hallways
b. Main Entrance and Stairwell
c. Elevator
d. Bathrooms Sanctuary Level
e. Kitchens (Main & Parlor)
f. Fellowship Hall
g. CCCC Classrooms and Office
h. CCCC Bathrooms
i. CCCC Hallways
2. Sets up rooms for evening meetings & classes.
a. Welcomes leaders and participants
b. Secures building following events
c. Cleans rooms for next day use
3. Remains present and available for security and maintenance as needed.
In addition, secondary duties include:
1. Provides list of needed supplies & repairs to Facilities Manager
2. Performs final walk through and lock down of building, including alarm set.
3. Helps with snow & ice removal
4. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Works well with people; has a demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance and repairs, can operate small equipment. High School diploma or equivalent required.
