Our client, located in Connecticut is growing and is looking to add a dynamic Sales Leader to their organization. This person will provide leadership and direction to a diverse sales team. This person will be responsible for expanding the Company’s product offerings, driving efficiency and profitability to its existing customers while developing new opportunities. The Sales Leader is accountable for the overall sales organization performance, the achievement of sales organization goals, and for aligning sales objectives with the Company’s business strategy. The ideal person for this position will have experience within the construction products and or the construction services industry.
Responsibilities:
· Aligns the sales organization’s objectives with firm’s business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
· Utilizes consultative selling skills and experience to establish, retain and grow sales
· Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
· Responsible for the sales of a diverse group of products and selling various products to current and new customers
· Provides leadership to the sales organization’s management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
· Establishes and maintains productive relationships with customers and prospects.
· Evaluate sales performance and recommend new strategies for improvements.
· Provide guidance to team members and monitor their performance, discipline, and attendance on regular basis.
· Work with Marketing Dept. to develop a strategic plan to develop new markets and growth opportunities geographically
Requirements:
· High school diploma required, Bachelor’s or higher desired
· 5-10 years of experience as a sales leader managing a team with a multi-million-dollar sales quota
· Experience calling into construction job sites required
· Experience in the development and implementation of sales strategies
· People management experience
· Sales experience in a material or equipment distribution (preferred)
· Experience using a CRM, integration experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
