produce new designs and contribute suggested modifications for producibility.
Responsibilities
- Provides test station build support for research, design, development, or manufacturing activities for various internal customers.
- Reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
- Multi-pin cable and connector construction and continuity verification
- Prepares and solders all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s), cable connectors and electronic parts according to specifications.
- Knowledge of different soldering materials, fluxes, and solders, and their appropriate usage. Familiarity with soldering equipment, tools, and accessories, and the ability to operate and maintain them effectively.
- Panel and fixture construction, integrated rack installation.
- Documents test solution design modifications and has responsibility for documentation maintenance.
- Assists engineers with the development of new engineering processes and/or products to ensure their manufacturability, under supervision may recommend design changes.
- Perform as member of design team including participant role utilizing effective communication skills.
- Solid understanding of written/verbal instruction methods used by customers.
- May assist in some orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.
- Degree or completed coursework in engineering technology or electronics.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
- Have domain knowledge of avionics products.
- Prior experience working in an electronics manufacturing or laboratory role.
- Prior experience as a certified inspector.
- Experience reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
- Experience with multi-pin cable and connector construction.
- Experience with panel and fixture construction and integrated rack installation.
- Programming experience (Turbo Atlas, C#, LabView, Test Stand)
