What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP/Director of Accounts position at Troon?
54 Brands, a Buffalo Groupe Company, is looking for a senior account leader. This position will be responsible for managing agency accounts from all aspects. You’ll be involved in new business, day-to-day management, strategy, internal and external team leadership and the full execution of all marketing initiatives for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with managing director on various priorities
- Serve as a strategic marketing lead for clients, regularly advising CEOs, VPs of sales and marketing and executive teams on strategy and marketing initiatives.
- Participate in leadership team meetings, where appropriate, to provide marketing departmental updates
- Collaborate with department leads and team members throughout the organization to ensure all client programs are being executed to ensure strong results and high effectiveness
- Lead marketing plan development and execution for various clients and our own business
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of marketing initiatives and guiding necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and successful KPIs
- Have the innate ability to be long-term oriented and short-term focused. In other words, what is the five-year goal and what does my client need to do today and tomorrow in order to be successful next month, next year and five years from now.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in a marketing related position
- Ability to wear a lot of hats. In this role you will be managing accounts and the teams that support them, selling, and serving as an advisor to internal teams and our clients
- Significant experience in B2B marketing
- Experience leading marketing teams, agency teams and interacting with executive level of organizations
- Superior account and project management skills and experience managing multiple contributors, executives, peers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Strong track record of leading data-driven and well-researched traditional and integrated programs across internal and external channels
- Superior written and verbal communications and presentation skills, along with the proven ability to consistently make sound judgments and effectively motivate and manage teams
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation-development skills; project management skills; and consultative skills (including effective questions, critical thinking, and framework and methodology application)
- Ability to command a room as a dynamic speaker with strategic credibility
- An entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership qualities, and a collaborative attitude
- Accountability and a drive to achieve results
- Experience leading integrated marketing disciplines and deliverables such as strategic planning, internal company communications, creative ideation and production, social media and editorial content, influencer marketing, PR, digital marketing and data/research

Compensation: $100k - $120k per year, based on experience
