Responsibilities:
- Perform routine testing of incoming samples in a timely fashion following standard operating procedures
- Operate particle size analysis equipment, lab furnaces for ash testing, Rotap sieve, bulk density, and visual analysis for testing of samples.
- Communicate effectively with Quality Supervisor (shift supervisor on off shift) to relate information pertaining to the material being tested (i.e. if it is out-of-spec, close to spec, etc.)
- Must be able to read and understand lab procedures and other paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
- Retrieve sample retains for customer inquiries.
- Record/Input test data into QC Database
- Check weigh scales in production area
- Perform other tests that may arise due to customer needs
- Retrieves sample from the stations that are in process
