CABLE INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN DESCRIPTION: Install coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, and related electronic components.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Install coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, and related electronic components.
- Educate customers on service features and functionality.
- Install and rearrange inside wires.
- Troubleshoot and repair communications systems, verifying all services are working correctly.
- Maintain test equipment and tool supplies for continuous use.
- Clean, maintain, stock, and secure assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Work with hand tools – manual dexterity is a must.
- Maintain a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers at all times.
- Uphold quality workmanship surpassing industry standards.
- Shows up to work on time and ready to work with a positive attitude.
- Ability to adhere to directions and completes tasks assigned.
- Ability to perform physical labor in environmental conditions.
- Ability to listen and take on additional tasks as needed.
- Participate, adhere to, and support all safety related policies, processes, and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Work indoors in poorly ventilated areas such as attics during extreme heat.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, cleaning solutions.
- Work performed near power lines and electricity.
- Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (MVR, Drug screen, and Background checks).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to adhere to Local, State, and Federal Regulations and Company Policies.
- Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers.
- Ability to work full-time, in an outdoor environment and in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work both individually and in a team environment.
- Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime, on call, and weekends when necessary.
