Expectations of a Field Service Manager
While this role is primarily construction-based and general construction skills are a must, the work we do is highly technical in nature. The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, understand data, think strategically, work with a team, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing are desired traits. Previous experience in environmental remediation is a plus. Previous construction experience in a leadership capacity is highly desirable. OSHA HAZWOPER certification and participation in our robust medical monitoring program will be required. Significant travel will also be required. TRS is primarily a virtual organization with remote workers. This means you can live wherever you like and will travel to job sites as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the construction, application, and operation of TRS technologies according to engineering drawings and contractual requirements.
- Ensure assigned project sites are set up and maintained according to TRS and client standards.
- Monitor daily site activities and complete reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles.
- Supervise site personnel while working on assigned projects.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed
- Coordinate team schedules with the Project Manager
- Approve time cards, etc.
- Assist Project Manager in managing client interactions including day-to-day communications, preparation of verbal and written updates and reports, and other client-support activities.

- Field settings will include sites impacted by hazardous materials and waste. Participation in TRS training programs and medical monitoring programs is required.
- The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
- Frequent use of common construction tools, including hand-held power tools will be required.
- Frequent operation of an automobile or pick-up truck will be required.
- Frequent operation of a forklift will be required.
- May be required to operate heavy machinery.
- Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
