The Local Sales Rep (LA Area) at Tru Earth is a dynamic and self-motivated individual passionate about advancing the eco-friendly mission by growing the retail business in LA and surrounding areas. This role involves visiting retail stores, building relationships with key retailer employees, working with distributor account managers. Responsibilities include executing promotions, displays, sampling, events, etc. at retail stores. The key initiatives of the role are to grow retail door count, increase retail velocity, and build Tru Earth brand awareness.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Store visits daily in LA and surrounding areas
- Building strong relationships with key store employees generate new business opportunities
- Gain distribution at new independent retailers
- Identify and close distribution voids at retail stores
- Secure display programs with retail store and execute the building of displays
- Monitor Account Managers’ promotional calendars
- Manage retail promotion executions and success
- Report back to Account Managers on executions and success of promotions and activities
- Running events at local retailers and other venues
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue expectations
- Participating in meetings and training sessions, as provided by (or supported by) Tru Earth; attending industry-related events (travel may be required); staying in formed of new market information, competition, innovations, etc.; acting as brand representative on behalf of the team
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of experience working a sales role in the CPG industry
- 2 years of experience working with distribution partners (UNFI & KeHE is a plus)
- Lived or worked in LA area – knowledge of LA grocery markets
Key Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Outgoing and personable – ability to foster strong relationships with people in short period of time
- Self-starter that can manage multiple projects and daily tasks
- Passionate about the environment and sustainable living
- Driver’s license and car, Electric Vehicle preferred
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to travel freely across state lines and across international borders (as needed)
- Willing to work nights and weekends (as needed)
