POSITION SUMMARY

Payroll assistant provides administrative support in the payroll department. As a payroll assistant, your duties include entering payroll data, processing payroll, processing new hire paperwork, and making changes related to tax withholding and employee benefits. You also help create detailed documents outlining payroll for the company or organization and may perform additional clerical tasks as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS and OUTCOMES:

  • Reviews client calendars and adjusts shifts as needed
  • Reviews patient visits with issues, corrects shifts as needed, double checks to make sure that all time sheets have been sent to clients
  • Gathering and examining time sheets to ensure their validity
  • Billing for all MCO’s and OLTL
  • Runs payroll batch
  • Responsible for EVV Clock in/out Corrections
  • Responsible for EVV Missed Clock in/out Follow Up’s
  • Responsible for Missed Time Sheet Follow Up
  • Unbilled Visits- To be updated daily and let the Billing Specialist and Payroll Manager know what can be billed.
  • Submits accurate claims in a timely fashion.
  • Capturing approved annual and sick leave.
  • Ensuring that compensation for overtime work is calculated at the appropriate rate and that annual leave is calculated accordingly, if applicable.
  • Confirming that legally mandated and optional deductions have been processed correctly.
  • Preparing and distributing hard copy or electronic paychecks.
  • Performing all tasks well before the pay run to ensure that staff members are compensated and notified on time.
  • Addressing queries about payroll-related issues.
  • Working to resolve discrepancies in payments as a matter of urgency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
