Job Description
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), is recruiting for a full-time Food Service Worker 2 for Café Verde located at the TMCC Dandini campus. * This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. The position performs accurate sales transactions in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service. Interacts with customers, enters orders into point-of-sale device, and accepts cash and charge payments. Organizes cash banks and prepares/submits daily deposits to Cashier's Office. Prepares neat and attractive hot and cold beverages, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and other menu items using standard measures and approved recipes. Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitization of food preparation and cashiering areas. Ensures foods are merchandised attractively.
Required Qualifications
This position requires two (2) years of experience in quantity food preparation and service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
Schedule
The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Daily schedule may vary depending on operational needs including catering events.
Compensation Grade
Grade 22 (Entry, Step 01 $14.90/hr - Step 03 $16.14/hr)
