Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will provide company wide, multi-functional support including employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits administration, developing policies and programs and the administration of several compliance programs. Assist and advise management on HR issues.

Job Location: O'Fallon, MO

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities we are looking for:

  • Carries out administrative work involving the human resources functions and maintains related records.
  • Formulates and recommends HR policies and objectives for the entire company.
  • Performs full cycle recruitment including coordinating pre-employment screenings & verifications, employment, scheduling drug testing.
  • Processes onboarding, new hire paperwork via Paycom.
  • Proficient knowledge of benefit and payroll administration.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation, training and development programs (i.e. OSHA, Sexual Harassment etc).
  • Assist Human Resources Manager with various research and/or special projects.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the HR function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, AAP, ACA etc.) Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process, employee benefit programs and services, and company safety and health programs.
  • Conduct a continuous study of all HR policies, programs and practices to keep top management informed of new developments.
  • Keep supervisors informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Motivated self-starter that can stay on assigned tasks
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projected in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible.
  • Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Resourceful and well organized.
  • Participative management style, advocate of team concept.
  • Ability to establish creditability and be decisive - but be able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
  • Results and people oriented, but have sound judgment-ability to balance other business considerations. Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive.

Education:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources required
  • 3 -5 years Human Resources experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word & Excel)
  • ATS system experience preferred
  • Payroll & benefit administration experience preferred (i.e. Paycom)

Working conditions:

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time; office environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
