To ensure that recruitment and hiring functions are uniformly applied, operate within the policies and guidelines established, and comply with regulations. Activities include administration of recruitment and staffing, salary administration, and regulatory compliance relative to personnel, pay and benefits, and Affirmative Action. |
|
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: |
| E | 30% | Employee recruitment including interviewing, checking references, and processing changes in employee status. |
| E | 25% | Coordinate recruitment and staffing initiatives with Credit Union strategic goals. Utilize recruitment platforms such as job boards, social media, career fairs, and advertisements. Research and recommend various recruitment methods in order to ensure equal opportunities for applicants and optimum exposure for job postings. |
| E | 25% | Coordinates interview schedules with hiring managers, examines all applications and makes recommendations to hiring managers. |
| E | 10% | Back up HR Manager with coordination of sponsored employee services and activities designed to enhance employee/organization relationships. Supports the Human Resources function including benefits administration, personnel records and other essential duties. Recommends new programs or changes to existing programs. |
| N | 5% | Prepare job descriptions and evaluate jobs using established evaluation system. Utilizing the Compease and Performease systems. |
| N | 5% | Maintains all personnel files and records for the organization. |

Performance Measurements: |
| 1. | To recruit and screen qualified candidates for all positions in a timely fashion and with a sense of urgency. |
| 2. | To handle the day to day recruitment duties in the human resource department including drafting job descriptions, interviews, scheduling, job offers, and Affirmative Action tracking. |
| 3. | To ensure that all recruitment programs and actions are in compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. |
| 4. | To maintain all personnel files, records and reports. |
| 5. | To serve as back up to general human resources tasks as needed. |
| 6. | To stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and all credit union policies and procedures. |

Knowledge and Skills: |
|
Experience | Three years to five years of similar or related experience. |
|
|
Education | (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. |
|
|
Interpersonal Skills | Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. |
|
|
Other Skills | A generalist background in recruitment, personnel administration, compensation, benefits, training, payroll and employee relations. |
