The Lumber Trader will purchase and market assigned products. Traders are authorized to negotiate and place orders and enter into contracts for the purchase or sale of goods binding the company to performance.

Position Description
Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
- Develop Member/Customer base in assigned geographic area selling various Wood Products.
- Identify and implement opportunities to increase sales and margins to maximize profit for business.
- Negotiate prices and shipment from mill sources to Members/Customers.
- Negotiate vendor discounts and payment terms.
- Resolve claims as needed on behalf of Members/Customers.
- Provide current information about prevailing market conditions, trends, and prices to Member/Customer base utilizing fax, MOL, telephone or weekly newsletter.
- Identify new vendors.
Position Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7 years of experience, preferably in Communication, Logistics, Marketing, Merchandising or similar industry.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
